Clear information for donors

Donation Policy

This policy explains how ETX Christians handles one-time and monthly gifts, designations, cancellations, refunds, receipts, and payment processing.

Effective: July 15, 2026 • Version 1.0

Summary: Gifts are voluntary and processed securely by Stripe. Monthly gifts continue at the selected amount until canceled. Donors can use the secure Stripe donor portal to manage payment information, view receipts, or schedule cancellation.

1. Voluntary donations

Donations to ETX Christians are voluntary gifts intended to support Bible outreach, Christian education, discipleship resources, digital ministry, and related Gospel-centered work. A donation does not purchase ownership, voting rights, services, or control over ministry decisions.

Before completing a donation, review the amount, frequency, and designation displayed on the donation form and Stripe Checkout.

2. Monthly gifts and recurring authorization

When you select a monthly gift, you authorize Stripe to charge the payment method provided for the selected amount approximately once each month until the gift is canceled. The initial charge is normally made when Checkout is completed, and future charges generally follow the subscription billing date shown by Stripe.

A monthly gift remains active until you cancel it, the payment method can no longer be charged, or ETX Christians or Stripe ends the recurring arrangement. Canceling a monthly gift does not automatically refund charges that were already completed.

3. Managing or canceling a monthly gift

Use the Manage Monthly Gift page to open Stripe's secure donor portal. Sign in using the email address entered during Stripe Checkout and the one-time passcode Stripe sends to that address.

The portal is configured to let donors view invoices, update a payment method, and schedule cancellation at the end of the current billing period. To prevent another monthly charge, complete the cancellation before the next billing date shown in the portal.

If you cannot access the portal, contact ETX Christians at Davidramsey98@gmail.com or (903) 431-0928. Include the donor name, the email used at checkout, and the approximate charge date. Do not send a full card number or card security code.

4. Gift designations

The donation form may let you express a preference for where a gift is used. ETX Christians will make reasonable efforts to honor an accepted designation. Unless ETX Christians expressly agrees otherwise in writing, designations are preferences rather than legally restricted gifts.

If a selected project is completed, fully funded, unavailable, impractical, or no longer consistent with ministry needs, ETX Christians may use the gift for a similar purpose or where it is needed most.

5. Refunds, duplicate charges, and unauthorized payments

Donations are generally final. ETX Christians will review reasonable requests involving an accidental duplicate charge, an incorrect amount, a technical error, or a payment the cardholder reports as unauthorized.

Submit a request as soon as possible and preferably within 30 days of the charge. Approval is determined case by case and may depend on Stripe's records, whether funds have already been committed or transferred, applicable law, and the circumstances of the request. Any approved refund will normally be returned through Stripe to the original payment method.

Canceling a recurring gift stops future renewal according to the cancellation timing shown in the portal; it does not itself create a refund for prior charges.

6. Receipts and tax treatment

Stripe may send payment confirmations or receipts to the email address provided at Checkout. Donors may also be able to view billing history through the donor portal.

Do not assume a gift is tax-deductible unless ETX Christians provides valid written documentation confirming eligibility under applicable law. ETX Christians does not provide tax, legal, or accounting advice. Consult a qualified professional about your individual circumstances.

7. Stripe payment processing and privacy

Stripe processes donation payments and recurring billing. ETX Christians does not directly store the full payment-card number or card security code entered on Stripe Checkout. Stripe's services are subject to Stripe's own terms and privacy practices.

For more information about website and donation data, review the Privacy Policy. General website use is governed by the Terms of Use.

8. Changes to this policy

ETX Christians may update this Donation Policy as the ministry, payment features, or legal requirements change. The effective date and version will be updated when material revisions are published. Changes apply prospectively unless applicable law requires otherwise.
