1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) are an agreement between you and ETX Christians concerning your access to and use of etxchristians.com and the features made available through that domain.

By accessing or using the website, you agree to follow these Terms. If you create an account, you must affirmatively accept the current version of these Terms during registration. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use features that require acceptance.

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled and is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

2. Eligibility

You may browse public resources without an account. Account features are intended for people age 13 or older. If you are under the age of legal majority where you live, you should use the website only with permission and supervision from a parent or legal guardian.

You may not use the website where doing so would violate applicable law or a binding restriction that applies to you.

5. Website content and permitted use

The website contains Bible commentary, summaries, quizzes, timelines, designs, software, and other materials created by ETX Christians, as well as Bible text and third-party materials that may have separate ownership or licensing terms.

Subject to these Terms, ETX Christians gives you a limited, revocable, nonexclusive, nontransferable license to access and use the website’s original materials for personal, noncommercial study, teaching preparation, and church or small-group discussion.

You may quote brief portions of original commentary with clear attribution and a link to the relevant page. You may not republish, sell, sublicense, mirror, or distribute substantial portions of the website’s original content, quizzes, datasets, design, or code without prior written permission. Nothing in these Terms changes any rights that apply to Bible translations or third-party content.

“ETX Christians,” its visual identity, and related branding may not be used in a way that implies endorsement, sponsorship, or affiliation without permission.

6. Religious and educational disclaimer

ETX Christians provides Bible study and educational resources. Commentary reflects interpretation and may not represent every Christian tradition or viewpoint. Resources may contain errors, omissions, incomplete sections, or material that changes as the website is developed.

The website is not a substitute for Scripture, participation in a local church, pastoral counseling, or advice from a qualified professional. Nothing on the website is intended as legal, medical, mental-health, tax, financial, or other professional advice. For decisions requiring professional judgment, consult an appropriately qualified person.

7. Donations

Donation features are voluntary. Payments are processed by Stripe rather than directly by this website. Donation amounts, recurring selections, refunds, cancellations, designations, receipts, and tax treatment are also governed by the Donation Policy and disclosures shown on the donation page and Stripe Checkout.

Do not assume a donation is tax-deductible unless ETX Christians expressly provides valid documentation stating that it qualifies under applicable law. You are responsible for consulting a tax professional about your circumstances.

8. Third-party services and links

The website may use or link to services operated by other organizations, including Google Analytics and Stripe. Third-party websites and services are governed by their own terms, privacy notices, security practices, availability, and content. ETX Christians does not control and is not responsible for third-party services.

9. Availability, updates, and changes

We may add, change, suspend, or discontinue website content or features at any time. We do not promise that every feature, commentary, quiz, account record, or saved progress item will always remain available.

We may update these Terms prospectively by posting a revised version with a new effective date. We will not quietly rewrite these Terms to authorize materially different uses of personal information without updating the applicable notice. When appropriate, account holders may be required to accept revised Terms before continuing to use account features.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the website and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. ETX Christians does not make warranties that the website will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, complete, accurate, or suitable for every purpose.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law where you live requires otherwise. Nothing in these Terms limits non-waivable rights available under applicable law.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. A failure to enforce a provision on one occasion is not a waiver of the right to enforce it later.
